Well its a new challenge today over at the 2Sisters Challenge blog and our theme this time is 'Punches'. Our sponsor this time is Karens Doodles - they have the most fantastic images to use! Full details of the challenge can be found HERE.

For this card I chose the adorable 'Christmas Moose' I love him!

My backing papers are all from Nitwits, all edges have been distressed and glittered, my glittery rik-rak ribbon is from our local market...

...I have coloured this cutie with Promarkers and chalks, I have used a bit of white flowersoft around his feet and I added a few touches of glossy accents on the bulbs...

...I made my own poinsetta from a flower punch and for the centre I covered a brad with some yellow flock, I cut out my own holly leaves and glittered it all!...

...I used an old label from our stash for the sentiment and I attached some jingle bells to some string which I draped over the corner.

My little Dennis the Menace....

Hi Susan here, I couldn't resist making this one!!!

All my backing papers are from Nitwits and they have all been distressed and mat and layered onto a brown distressed card for definition.

I used a Multi-Shaper allDeco Punch for the border lace work.

The satin finished ribbon is from our local market.

This Lili of the Valley image is so cute and reminds me of my childhood watching Dennis the Menace with his girlfriend Margaret!!! Love it!!

I used Pro-Markers to colour it keeping to my colour theme of blue and a touch of pink then inked the background before distressing the edges of the topper and mat and layering onto a brown distressed card.

We recently had a substantial order delivered from Wild Orchid Crafts and since then I can't stop going to the storage box to look at all the beautiful new flowers we have, these gorgeous blue blooms are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I love them!!! Just right for my colour scheme.

A childs birthday...

Hi Susan here.

Today at 2Sisters Challenge Blog there is a new challenge beginning and the theme is Punches.... Our sponsor is Karens Doodles and the winner gets 3 digi images of their choice!!

Its great fun and the DT have some great cards on show to give you inspiration, call across and have a go at the challenge, you never know you could be the winner.

The challenge runs until August 6th.

Now to my card.... I have used a mixture of backing papers from K&Co and DCWV, I wanted fun colours and papers because this was a card for a child.

The rik-rak ribbon is from our local market.

I was very lucky to be able to use this great digi image from Karens Doodles he is called Herbert Birthday Cupcake, I coloured it in using Pro-Markers. Around the edge of the topper I stuck my own handmade confetti.

This is a little birthday hat I made to match the one worn by Herbert!!

Keeping to a simple theme, the flowers are from our stash including some hand punched felt shapes...

Texting Crazy....

...Hi there, Susan here...

It is a new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday, what a great challenge!! The theme is called Texting Crazy, and simply means that the text/words should be your main item. Our sponsor is The Stamp Shoppe.

Go on over to Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog for full details of the challenge, you will see all the DT's creations and get yourself some great inspiration, and then don't forget to join in!!! You will have fun!!

The challenge closes on 4th August for entries and the winner will be announced with the next challenge on 5th August.

Now on to my card.... I had great fun with this one, I used a great sketch from Friday Sketchers, it had simple clean lines to it, that to me just called out for this type of card!!

My backing papers are a paper pack from Dovecraft, and I followed a photo inspiration challenge from gingersnap creations for my colours, loved them!! They were all distressed and then mat and layerd onto a maroon card.

I love this verse. I formatted it on my computer, inked the background and mat and layered onto maroon card.

My flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and Hobby Craft, the edges were slightly inked with promarkers.

The ribbon and pin were from our local market, although I did add extra beads to the pins after I coloured the pearl top to match my colour scheme.

Oriental beauty...

Hi Susan here.

I have been very proud this week to be the Guest Designer at Lexi's Creations.

The challenge started today and is sponsored by Fairy Dust Craft, and the brilliant theme is paper piecing!! Full details can be found on the challenge blog, please go over and join in the fun with us all, the challenge closes on Sunday 8th August and the winner is announced on Monday 9th August. Lexi's Creations is all about the love of crafting and this is evident in the cards that are created by her wonderful DT team!!

Now to my card.. I used a great sketch from Paperplay even though I couldn't join in the challenge!!

My backing papers are from a CD rom of Joanna Sheen's called Eastern Treasures. Fabulous backing papers on this CD I love using them. I have distressed all the edges and all the patterned papers have been layered onto black for definition.

This is the beautiful digi image I was lucky to use this week, it is available from HERE. Her name is Okichi. I loved using this stamp with the technique of paper piecing.

I used Pro-Markers to colour the rest of the image in and then I inked the background before distressing the edges of the topper and layering it on red card.

This is one of the gorgeous tassels from Joanna Sheen.... The vintage brads are from our stash.

These little metal charms were from a gift I received one Christmas and saved just in case they could be used on something.... The ribbon as usual came from our local market.

This fan is one of the many toppers from the CD rom. I cut it out from the topper and glued it in place on my card, by the way the main backing paper is the muted picture of this fan!! Clever girl Joanna Sheen!!

Tired little Charlie....

Hi it's Susan here, with, yes, another Christmas card!!!!

I used a great sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches.

My backing papers are from Nitwits, including the cute little presents in the bottom left corner. All the edges have been distressed and glittered with stickles.

The snowflakes have been made using punches, the large one has had stickles brushed all over the surface, little gems have been put into the centres.

This cute little digi image is from the Daisy Doodles Store and is called Charlie. I coloured it in using Pro-markers and then gently inked the background before distressing the edges and glittering. The little baubles on the trees have been glittered and Charlies nose and eyes have had some glossy accents put on them.

My sentiment has been made on the computer, all edges of the tab have been distressed and glittered.

These are the little presents from Nitwits, after cutting them out I gently embossed around the edges of the boxes and ribbons.
