Katie for a Cure....
Hi there, Susan here.
Over at Fussy and Fancy it is the time for Group B to join in with the rest of the DT girls with our Challenge 16 Pink and Black. We are working with Stampinsanity on this challenge to help with the fight against Breast Cancer. A very special stamp has been designed Katie for a Cure, full details of how you can purchase this beautiful stamp can be found on the Stampinsanity blog. The story of how this stamp came about is very tragic, I do hope you can call across and give your support, all proceeds from the purchase of this stamp set will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
We are asking please for everyone who joins in the challenge at Fussy and Fancy will you call across to Stampinsanity, even if you don't want to purchase the stamp, you can if you want, make a donation to help fight to get rid of this horrible desease.
Now back to my card....
I used a great sketch from an older challenge over at Incy Wincy Sketch Challenges, I loved the look of this sketch and thought it was perfect for what I wanted.
My backing papers are a mixture from my stash, I have mat and layered onto a deep pink plain card. All edges have been distressed. My double sided satin ribbon is from our local market. All the pearls are from Bunny Zoes.
This is the beautiful digi image that has been specially designed for this appeal, 'Katie for a Cure'. I used Pro-Markers to colour it in and gently inked the background in pink and black, before distressing the edges of the topper and backing card. I added some glossy accents onto the 'ribbon' and her glasses.
This is one of the sentiments in the 'Katie for a Cure' set, I printed it onto card then gently inked the background with pink and black and distressed the edges.
The inside of my card also carried a sentiment from the set. This said... 'The most important thing in illness is to never lose hope'....
My flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, they are so beautiful and were just the right colour that I was wanting.

Tree Lights....
Hi Susan here with my DT card for Auds Sentiments.
A new challenge started today over at Aud Sentiments, our sponsor is Digi Doodle and they are offering the winner a $10 gift certificate to spend in their store. The theme is 'Choose Your Own Christmas Sentiment'. Try and come along and join in the fun, make a Christmas card and get ahead of all that pressure at Christmas time.
The closing date for the challenge is Tuesday 3rd August.
Now back to my card! I have used a sketch from last weeks Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge, simply because I liked it!
My backing papers are from a CD rom by Crafters Companion called Vintage Christmas. I distressed all the edges and glittered them with stickles.
My ribbon is from our local market.
This beautiful cute image is from Digi Doodles, I was very lucky to be able to use one their images for this card. I have coloured it in using Pro-Markers. The little tree lights have had some glossy accents added.
My flowers are a mixture, the smaller white ones are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, the larger one and the holly are handmade from punches and dies. All have been glittered with stickles.
My sentiment was made on my computer, the edges of the tag were distressed and glittered to match the card theme.

Wedding Day at Daisy Doodles...
Hi Susan here with a design made for the new Daisy Doodles challenge this week.
The theme is Here Comes the Bride and runs until Friday 1st August. You can find full details on the Daisy Doodle Challenge Blog.
My backing papers for this card are from Crafters Companion CD rom - Love, very beautiful papers on this CD. I chose three of them that I had in my stash already printed, for the sketch I wanted to use from Sketch Saturday. I distressed all the edges and glittered them with stickles.
This image is from Daisy Doodles Store, and is called Simple Elegance. It is a set with several stamps in the theme of weddings.
I coloured it in with Pro-Markers and inked the background before distressing the edge of the cirle and glittering with stickles, I then mat and layered it onto a scalloped circle of mirri board.
I surrounded the topper with a deep coloured netting, to match the colours of my backing papers.
My flowers are from Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts, with a few little glass ones, stolen from Emma's cake decorating stash. I glittered all the edges with stickles.
My sentiment was a wedding selection set of stamps from Papermania. The charm is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.
