A Vintage Treasure Chest....

Hey there everyone, Emma here.....

Well this week I finally got some free time to have a play and make something a bit different that is going to make a fabby little gift!!!!
I found these great little bown chests from Hobbycraft as you can see in the picture below......

BEFORE...

AFTER....

I had so much fun decorating this cute little Treasure Chest up!!  I painted the top of the box with Tim Holtz Crackle Paint in Tattered Rose {LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!!!!}, then I distressed the edges a little when it was all completely dry with some distress ink.  I used some gorgeous papers from My Minds Eye all around the sides and distressed the edges.....

....Back View...

...The gorgeous lace is from the market....

....I used a little metal cream frame that I have had for ages, I distressed it up a bit and added some flowers and charms which are from Bunny Zoes, the tulle is from the market...

....I LOVE using Tim Holtz Crackle Paint, the effect is amazing and I really love the shabby/vintage look it gives to everything. I have used Rock Candy on the heart and some buttons from stash...

....I love using things with different textures on my creations, the pin is also from the local market and I have just added some extra beads of my own...

...this is the view of the top, I have used the very gorgeous Magnolia Angel Wing Die {LOVE this die!!}, loads of bits and bobs from stash, and I am loving the label making machine {we have had for ages!}, the labels look great on vintage creations...

....I have made the large gardenia flower and the tiny blossoms myself, the other flowers are a mix from Wild Orchid, Hobbycraft and Prima....

I hope you enjoyed looking at my little vintage creation, Thankyou for all your amazing comments I really love reading each and every one of them....
Big hugs

For full details of the challenge and to check out some fabulous inspiration from the design team call across to The Stamping Bazaar Challenge Blog and join in the fun with us.

Now for my card...

I decided to make another valentine card but not using the traditional colours of red and pink. Yellow flowers are for deep friendship, new love or at least thats what it says in my books!! My backing papers are all from my stash drawer. The lace, ribbon and gems are all from our local market. I love making the swirls using the pearls, they used to 'ping' all over the craft room now they behave themselves and allow me to stick them just where I want them to go. hahaha!! My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This has to be one of my favourite digi images that has been designed by Marina Neira. He is called - 'Marvin with Daisies' and can be found at The Stamping Bazaar Store. Check out the store for special offers that are available for a limited time. I have coloured him using Promarkers.

My sentiment is a rubber stamp from The Tickled Pink Store, the metal frame is from my stash.

Side by side....

Hi Susan here....

At Lexi's Creations today we are starting a new challenge and the theme is 'Glitter and Pearls', well thats easy isn't it!!
Full details of the challenge and some fabulous inspiration from the design team can be found at the Lexi's Creation Challenge Blog. Call across and take a look and join in the fun with us all.

Now to my card...

Well this is a different card for me....I wanted to keep it really simple in the design and the colours....so I choose turquoise and white. My base card is from The Paper Mill Shop and the top section of the card I embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder of swirls.
The turquoise satin ribbon and pearls are from our local market.

This fabulous sentiment is from Fairy Dust Crafts and has been designed by Lexi. It is called 'Side by Side'. Check out Lexi's store for some great offers at the moment. I cut my own shape for the topper and mat and layered it onto a turquoise card. All the edges have been distressed and glittered with stickles.

These beautiful butterflies are another one of Lexi's creations and they are available from Fairy Dust Studios, they are called 'DIY Butterfly'. Called that because they are very plain and can be finished however you want them to be. I coloured mine with chalks and then glittered around the edges of the wings and body.

My pins are from our local market, I have added extra pearls and a crystal divider.

My flowers are a mix, the white ones are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the turquoise rose I handmade it using the turquoise card I used on the card.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Simple Doodles - Photo inspiration (I choose to use turquoise and white)

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my card and for all your wonderful comments, they are very much appreciated, I hope you liked it.

Untraditional Christmas Colours....

Hi Susan here....

This is my second card as a guest designer at Crafty Emma's Store, a new challenge has started today and the theme is a fabulous sketch, for full details of the challenge and to see some fabulous inspirational ideas from the design team call across to CES Challenges and join in the fun with us all.

Now onto my card....I wanted to make a Christmas card but I also wanted to get away from the traditional colours that we all tend to use....so I took a look in a 12x12 scrapbooking pad from HOTP called Sarapapers, and fell in love with these papers for the rich burgundy and pink colours. I have distressed all the edges and then glittered with stickles. The centre border panel I used a Martha Stewart punch on the edges then glittered. My ribbons and pearls are all from our local market. I love making those swirls.

This cute little digi image is from The Stamping Bazaar Store, designed by Marina Neira and is called 'Kitty among Presents', I have used Promarkers to colour the image, the edges have been distressed and glittered.

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I made and coloured the leaves from white card.

This beautiful sentiment image is a mix of two, the frame and the wordart, from Raindrop Echo Designs, designed by Ann Vento. I coloured the frame on the computer, joined the two images together then cut it  out and glittered the edges.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Thank you so much for looking at my card and for all the wonderful comments you leave, I hope you liked it.
