A Frightfully Spooky Halloween....

Hi Susan here....

I do hope you have all had a great week, over at The Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog there is a new challenge started and the theme is .... yes you've guessed it....HALLOWEEN, well it has to be at this time of the year doesn't it. Our Sponsor for Challenge 21 is Simon Says Stamp, one lucky person will get a $15 gift certificate to spend as he/she wishes! That can't be bad can it!!! For full details of the challenge and to feast your eyes on some great inspiration from the design team call across to The Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog and join in the fun with us all.

For my card I used my own sketch, and used the typical colours of black, green, purple and orange. My backing papers are a mix from my bits and pieces drawer, the main piece is from Bearlymine. All the edges have been distressed and glittered with stickles. My trim up the side I made using oddments of ribbon and handmade Fimo beads, all threaded onto a leather string.

My great image is available from The Stamping Bazaar Store, and his name is Marvin Candy Apple, he was designed by the very talented Marina Neira, and at the moment there is a special offer price for these Marvin images. I used Pro-Markers to colour him in and inked the background with a grey ink and then mat and layered onto a black card, all edges have been distressed and glittered.

My flower is from Petaloo I joined three layers together with a large brad and glittered all the edges of the petals with stickles.

My sentiment was made on the computer, the edges have been inked and glittered.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.

Lemonade Anyone!!! DT Card

Hi, it's Susan here on a bright and sunny Monday morning. Hope everyone had a glorious weekend.

I am very excited to show you this card as it is the first DT card I have made for Daisy Doodles!! The Challenge started this morning and the theme is 'SUMMER', why not have a go yourself, go to their store, the digi images are so good.

I used a great sketch for this card from Everybody Art Challenge.

My colours for this card were chosen with summer in mind reminding me of beautiful sunny days, and ice cream flavours!!

The backing papers are from a CD rom from Artylicious, Peacock Summer Party, beautiful CD with the most delicious papers!! I have distressed all the edges and glittered them to make the sun sparkle off them.

The ribbons were from our local market!!

This is an image from Daisy Doodles, it is called 'ice n a slice', such a good name, conjuring up a cool drink in the summer!!

The topper edges were all distressed and glittered to match the main theme of the card. I used Pro-Markers to colour the image in, and highlighted the bubbles with Glossy Accents.

The tab I made on the computer, edges have been distressed and aged with inks, then glittered.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and Petaloo, the edges of course were glittered to match the rest of the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.
