Now back to my card....

I have used an older sketch this time from Crafts 4 Eternity.

My backing papers are a mixture from my stash, of course I had to use one of my favourite colours, pink, the check flowered one is from a set of CD roms from Create and Craft called Triple Treasures. I used a Multi Shaper AllDeco Punch for the edge of the blue card. All have been stitched on the sewing machine.

The pearls are from my local market and the butterflies are called 'Fly Stickers', sorry can't remember where they are from I have had them for ages, but never liked the silver foil edges that they came with in the packet, so I trimmed off the foil and here they are now, I much prefer them this way.

This gorgeous digi image I have been very lucky to use on this card is called 'Pat' and she can be purchased from Crafty Sentiments. I coloured her in using Pro-Markers and then gently inked the background before distressing the edge and stitching the topper.

My flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Katie for a Cure....

Hi there, Susan here.

Over at Fussy and Fancy it is the time for Group B to join in with the rest of the DT girls with our Challenge 16 Pink and Black. We are working with Stampinsanity on this challenge to help with the fight against Breast Cancer. A very special stamp has been designed Katie for a Cure, full details of how you can purchase this beautiful stamp can be found on the Stampinsanity blog. The story of how this stamp came about is very tragic, I do hope you can call across and give your support, all proceeds from the purchase of this stamp set will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

We are asking please for everyone who joins in the challenge at Fussy and Fancy will you call across to Stampinsanity, even if you don't want to purchase the stamp, you can if you want, make a donation to help fight to get rid of this horrible desease.

Now back to my card....

I used a great sketch from an older challenge over at Incy Wincy Sketch Challenges, I loved the look of this sketch and thought it was perfect for what I wanted.

My backing papers are a mixture from my stash, I have mat and layered onto a deep pink plain card. All edges have been distressed. My double sided satin ribbon is from our local market. All the pearls are from Bunny Zoes.

This is the beautiful digi image that has been specially designed for this appeal, 'Katie for a Cure'. I used Pro-Markers to colour it in and gently inked the background in pink and black, before distressing the edges of the topper and backing card. I added some glossy accents onto the 'ribbon' and her glasses.

This is one of the sentiments in the 'Katie for a Cure' set, I printed it onto card then gently inked the background with pink and black and distressed the edges.

The inside of my card also carried a sentiment from the set. This said... 'The most important thing in illness is to never lose hope'....

My flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, they are so beautiful and were just the right colour that I was wanting.
