Sentimental Sundays...... Autumn

Hi Susan here.....

Today over at Sentimental Sundays we are starting a new challenge and the theme is 'AUTUMN'....what does this season mean to you? I know what it means to me... the beautiful colours that the trees and bushes change into, leaves on the ground crunching under your feet, cooler weather and darker nights and the coming of Halloween, Bonfire Night, Harvest Festivals and then Christmas!! Wow what a season I love it!!

For full details of the challenge call across to Sentimental Sundays Challenge Blog and take a look at the inspiration from the design team, you will be amazed!!

Now for my card.....

I have used all those beautiful colours of autumn on my card and even managed to find in my stash of papers a piece of paper with autumn leaves on it...it is a beautiful paper full of skeleton leaves in all the different shades of autumn, gorgeous. My swirls are from a Marianne Creatables Die and I coloured them using Tim Holtz distressing inks.

This is such a beautiful sentiment and frame designed by Ann Vento and available from Raindrop Echo Designs. I have coloured the frame with chalks then added glossy accents to the little leaves. My flowers have been made using two dies, card pieces and inks, the leaves are totally DIY, using bits of white card, inks, deckle edged scissors and a ball tool for shape.

This is the sentiment on the inside of my card, designed by Ann Vento and available from Raindrop Echo Designs. This lady is so talented it is well worth a visit to her store, if you love sentiments you will love this store!!
