My Surprise part two....

Hi Susan here....

This card is my second THANK YOU.....this one is for the designer of my beautiful ballerina 'Suzette'...
You have to take a look at Christina's blog it is out of this world!!!!

I have made this card especially to say THANK YOU Christina for designing this beautiful image of a ballerina for me....I am so pleased with it and can't wait to keep using her....
I found the most beautiful piece of vellum that is printed with purple/lilac and pink flowers all over it and thought it was just perfect. The backing paper for the topper is from my stash and has been distressed and glittered. The ribbon and pearls are from our local market.

Here she is....MY 'Suzette'....coloured using Promarkers in shades of purple, to match the background papers and vellum. I have added glitter to her tutu and eyelids, after all ballerinas are special people they need to look their best when they are dancing!!!

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts but the leaves are my own handmade ones.

My sentiment ticket has been designed by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs. The edges have been coloured and glittered.

I am entering the following challenges..

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card and for leaving all your wonderful comments that I am so grateful for....I hope you liked it.

My Surprise part one.....

Hi Susan here....

Imagine my surprise when I was given one of Emma's beautiful gift card holders on Christmas morning.....only to find that inside there was a piece of card carefully folded in the little pocket with an digi image of a beautiful ballerina printed on it and a little sentiment from Emma to 'enjoy using her'....

To say THANK YOU for this wonderful gift, I have made Emma this Thank You card.....can you imagine having a digi image designed just for you, nobody else has it...just me!!!! I was so excited!! I have named her 'Suzette' partly because my name is Susan and then because she needed a posh name!!!
I have used bits and pieces from my stash for the backing paper, distressed the edges and added glitter to them. The corners of the gingham paper have been punched with a corner punch and the gaps filled in with glitter. The lace and pearls are from our local market.

I have to say THANK YOU also to Christina Dee who designed this image for Emma to give to me....Take a look at the next posting Christina thats for you!!
I have used Promarkers to colour the image and because my backing paper is embossed with flowers I cut the ballerina out and put her on top of that beautiful paper.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the leaves are my handmade ones. The little pearl hearts are from The Paper Mill Shop.

My sentiment ticket has been designed by Ann Vento and can be bought from Raindrop Echo Designs.
I have coloured the edges and glittered them.

I am entering the following challenges

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card and for all your wonderful comments that you leave for me, I am very grateful...I hope you liked it.

Side by side....

Hi Susan here....

At Lexi's Creations today we are starting a new challenge and the theme is 'Glitter and Pearls', well thats easy isn't it!!
Full details of the challenge and some fabulous inspiration from the design team can be found at the Lexi's Creation Challenge Blog. Call across and take a look and join in the fun with us all.

Now to my card...

Well this is a different card for me....I wanted to keep it really simple in the design and the colours....so I choose turquoise and white. My base card is from The Paper Mill Shop and the top section of the card I embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder of swirls.
The turquoise satin ribbon and pearls are from our local market.

This fabulous sentiment is from Fairy Dust Crafts and has been designed by Lexi. It is called 'Side by Side'. Check out Lexi's store for some great offers at the moment. I cut my own shape for the topper and mat and layered it onto a turquoise card. All the edges have been distressed and glittered with stickles.

These beautiful butterflies are another one of Lexi's creations and they are available from Fairy Dust Studios, they are called 'DIY Butterfly'. Called that because they are very plain and can be finished however you want them to be. I coloured mine with chalks and then glittered around the edges of the wings and body.

My pins are from our local market, I have added extra pearls and a crystal divider.

My flowers are a mix, the white ones are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the turquoise rose I handmade it using the turquoise card I used on the card.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Simple Doodles - Photo inspiration (I choose to use turquoise and white)

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my card and for all your wonderful comments, they are very much appreciated, I hope you liked it.
