Lexi's Creations.....Use your punches and dies

Hi Susan here....

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter, with family and friends and made lots of special memories.
Our holiday started sadly, my youngest daughter lost her mum-in-law after a long very painful time in the hospital. Then we discovered to our delight some blackbird nests in our back garden....the joy of watching the parents bring food down for them and then to see the little ones hopping about our garden has been amazing!!

Take a look at this little one, having a rest after hopping about the garden all afternoon, this was taken just after the daddy blackbird had fed it!!

Over at Lexi's Creations we have started a new challenge today and the theme is 'Use your punches and dies'. We have some new design team members joining us this time and their work is outstanding, please call across to Lexi's Creations and check out all the inspiration for this challenge the details of how to join and our sponsor.

Now onto my card....

My backing papers are from My Minds Eye it is a pad called Blush, and another pad from Simple Stories called Fabulous.

The papers are amazing from these two little 6x6 pads I loved using them.

The ribbon is from Ribbonbox.co.uk, it is a beautiful grosgrain, pink with brown dots, it matched my backing paper perfectly.

I used an edge die from Tim Holtz called Butterflies, and the other butterflies were made using various punches. I used Tim Holtz distress inks to colour all the butterflies. and added stickles to them.
My flowers were from Hobby Craft, the leaves I made myself from white card, ink and deckle scissors.
The pearls as usual were from our local market.

Thank you for taking the time to look and for all your fabulous comments
Love and hugs

  2. Hi Susan this is a stunning creation, the detail is gorgeous, and all the beautiful colours.

What a beautiful little Blackbird he's so sweet, I can sit and watch them forever, we had some collared Doves nesting in our garden a few years ago, and we used to sit and watch their parents teaching them to fly, it was fantastic.
