Just for me.....

Hi, Susan here. I really hope you like this one. Its using vintage colours and a really old stamp.

I made this originally just for fun this weekend, but Emma convinced me to enter it into some challenges so here we go.

The backing papers are a 12x12 pack of papers from Daisyd's. I love these papers the colours are so rich and even though there are flowers on most of them they could easily be used for men as well as women. I distressed all the edges to keep the vintage feel of the card

The lace is from my local market, which I aged using distressing ink.

The image is a favourite stamp of mine from Serendipity, we have a few of these great stamps this one is so serene, and hopefully you will think the way I ripped the surround it makes you feel that it is a piece of the wall. I coloured it using Pro-Markers.

The large red flower is my own that I made using punches and joined it with a vintage brad, the rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, which I coloured using distressing inks.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.....

Thank you for taking the time to look at my creation, I hope you liked it.

It's your day ... Enjoy yourself

Hi, its Susan, I am entering this one in several challenges, I will list them at the end.

Oh boy, I love working from sketches, the backing papers I used for this little boy's card was from a mixture of books, DCWV, Paper Mania and Kay and Co.

The buttons were from my stock of old buttons collected over a long time!

This is an absolutely gorgous digi image, from HERE, we found this site and very generously allows you to download the images to print and colour.

I coloured it in using Pro-Markers and hopefully you will all think I have done the image proud.

The label I made using my computer.

Someone Special ....

Hi Susan again with another card to show you.

This was made using a sketch from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog, I turned the sketch on its side for a slightly different look but still keeping to the sketch.

I have used a selection of candy coloured paper from my stock, sorry can't remember where its from. I thought the stamped image called for lots of soft candy colours and textures so thats what I used.

The lace is from my local market as always, love shopping around for ribbons and lace.

This is a wooden based stamp from Penny Black which I love. I have coloured it in using soft toned chalks and the flowers on the image I coloured in using Pro-Markers. I mat and layered it using Nestabilities.

The large yellow/orange flowers I made myself using a punch, and colour edging the petals with inks then shaping and putting together with a spacer and brad in the centre. The smaller flowers are from Bunny Zoes Crafts which I edge coloured to match my colour scheme.

The label I made on my computer, and mat and layered it to match the main image.

Love makes everything grow...

Hi again, Susan here. As I have said before I love working from sketches and this one from Friday Sketchers is one of my favourites. I love layering papers, ribbons and lace, I think it is such a nice look.
I used an Artylicious CD called Damask Delights for the background papers, and because my printer can do this, I lightened them slightly to keep in with the soft greens and aquas that I wanted.
The lace I buy from my local market.

This is one of my favourite stamps from Sarah Kay, although saying that I really like them all!!
I have coloured it in with Pro-Markers and thanks to you all out there, I have been blog hopping and learnt a lot from many of you about how to get the best out of the Pro-Markers. I was quite pleased with the results of this one.

The flowers are a mixture of my own hand made ones and some from Wild Orchid Crafts that I coloured in with inks to match my colour scheme.
The label I produced on my computer.

Thanks a bunch....

Hi again, this is Susan. I have enjoyed making this card, I love working from sketches and this one is no exception.
All the edges of the backing papers and the image surround were distressed.
I have entered this card in a few challenges this week, I have listed them below.
All my favourite things were used here, butterflies and flowers, ribbon and lace. The colours I chose simply because they always remind me of spring when everything is coming alive.

The butterfly was taken from an Artylicious CD - Butterfly Bliss, and printed onto pearlescent paper, then cut out and decorated up. The label I made myself on the computer, the edges again were distressed before putting on the card.

This image is so cute, it is of course a Lili of the Valley Stamp, and being a cat fan is one of my favourite stamps to colour in. I used Pro-Markers to get my desired effect.
The lace and ribbons I get from my local market. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and with a few of my own blossoms thrown in.

The challenges I am entering this card with are:-
  1. Lili of the Valley Sketch
  2. Crafty Dragons - Aud Sentiments No. 2
  3. Papertake Weekly - Say it with flowers
  4. Sir Stamp Alot - May, Butterflies and Blossoms

Thank you for taking the time to look at my creation.
