Just for me.....

Hi, Susan here. I really hope you like this one. Its using vintage colours and a really old stamp.

I made this originally just for fun this weekend, but Emma convinced me to enter it into some challenges so here we go.

The backing papers are a 12x12 pack of papers from Daisyd's. I love these papers the colours are so rich and even though there are flowers on most of them they could easily be used for men as well as women. I distressed all the edges to keep the vintage feel of the card

The lace is from my local market, which I aged using distressing ink.

The image is a favourite stamp of mine from Serendipity, we have a few of these great stamps this one is so serene, and hopefully you will think the way I ripped the surround it makes you feel that it is a piece of the wall. I coloured it using Pro-Markers.

The large red flower is my own that I made using punches and joined it with a vintage brad, the rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, which I coloured using distressing inks.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.....

Thank you for taking the time to look at my creation, I hope you liked it.

Love Susan

  5. Wow Mam,
This card reminds me of an old farmhouse in Brittany!!!! It is so french to me, c'est magnifique!!
I loooove red, so all the deep red tones are marvellous, as usual your flowers are perfection and you are spot on with how the ripped edging makes it look like part of the wall.
A truly magnificent masterpiece Mam xxx
