Best Friends....

Hi there, Susan here, well doesn't time fly, this is my DT card for the new challenge at Daisy Doodles, it starts today and closes on July 18th.

It is a 'Recipe' this time, and you must use a digital image, a ribbon, 2 patterned papers and 3 brads. For full details of the challenge click HERE. We have been sponsored for this challenge by Digi Doodles. Come and join us HERE and have some fun and don't forget to go along to Digi Doodles and check out their images.

I have used a great sketch from Pixie Cottage for this card, and following the 'Recipe' my backing papers are a mixture, the check paper is from Nitwits, and the mottled blue paper is from Daisy Doodles - Summer Time, I love using these papers they are so versatile, go check them out!!

The image is from Digi Doodle, I have coloured it in using Pro-Markers and then inked the background to match my colour scheme. The edging of the brown backing card has been cut using zig zag scissors to match my ribbons. These are from our stash!!

Because my grandson, Liam, says boys don't like fussy, I have used some of our collection of buttons. The photo anchors I have used brads to fastened them down.

This little metal sentiment was bought ages ago on a holiday and just said the right thing for this card!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges...

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.

Love Susan

  17. Mam this is my kind of card!! It's so well-suited for a teenager and it's so simple yet you make it look really full of detail and delight from every angle. I adore buttons and your group of them in the corner is fab. The metal sentiment is great too and I love how you've coloured the image, perfect as usual. What else have I left out???... the photo anchors, great! The blue and brown colour scheme, really modern and effective (especially for a boy), and I think the zigzag elements are really great too.
