Hi there, Susan here.
Here is my first card as a member of the Design Team for the 2Sisters Challenge Blog.
The theme for this week is Christmas in July, and it will run until Friday, July 30th.
Come over and join in the fun with us at 2Sisters Challenge Blog, you can find full details about the challenge there.
Lets get on now with the details of my card!!
I have used another great sketch this time from Sunday Sketch and Stamp. Beautiful and simple, full of inspiration!
My backing papers are from Daisy Doodles - Naturals, and Artylicious CD - Seasons Greeting. Beautiful papers and colours from both. All the papers were layered onto white card, as I wanted to have lots of layers on my card and I think it helps to separate the different papers. I distressed all the edges and glittered them with stickles.
This is my image, it is from an Elusive Images set. I coloured it in with Pro-Markers and added a tiny amount of Stickles for that glittery look!!
My flowers were from Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. I glittered all the edges with stickles.
Have you noticed the little glass leaves just peeking out, we bought these ages ago for Emma's cakes, don't they look great on a card!!
The ribbon, netting and lace are all from our local market.
The text brad is from our stash.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:-
Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.
Love Susan

ReplyDeleteO wow Mam what a beautiful traditional Christmas card. The colouring on the image is amazing, as others have mentioned, it makes the tree look so real, well done. The layout is so pretty and simple and perfectly shows off the image. The ribbon and bow are a really nice touch, they actually make that green block of paper look like a gift waiting to be torn open! I love how Emmas card was so modern and your card is so traditional, lovely contrast.
