Hi Susan here.....
I love this time of the year, the cooler days and nights are coming, darker nights on the way, the prospect of hats, gloves and scarves... and best of all.... Christmas just around the corner and all the lovely times that holiday season brings.....
I need some extra Christmas cards this year so I thought I would make a start so that I can make some extra special ones...
Easel cards, there is something really eye catching about these cards I love making them. I love the way they look from all angles.
My backing papers are from Nitwits and from my stash, I have inked the edged with distressing inks.
This is the front view of my card.
My ribbon is as usual from our local market.
I have used Tim Holtz Clock face, coloured it with inks and then put a clear crackle paint on the top, I love the vintage look of this effect.
My ticket sentiment and die is from Tim Holtz collection.
This is to show you my hidden tag for your journalling to whoever the card is for.
I add this to all my easel cards.
'Jollie Josie' designed by Marina Neira and available at The Stamping Bazaar Store, she is such a cutie I love using this digi image, the fact that I love cats has nothing to do with it..... :-)
I have used Promarkers to colour and shade the image. The topper was cut out using a die and then I added inks to the outer edge.
My flowers are a mix, the small buds and white roses are from Hobby Craft...The poinsettia and two large red open buds have been made using punches, inks and patience. The leaves as usual I have made using white card and inks.
Using a smaller die to match the shape of the topper and inks on the edges. The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs.
