Up, Up and Away.......

Hi there, Susan here, I have made this weekend a card that is right out of my comfort zone!! I wanted to use a different shaped card, and no flowers!!

I was inspired by all the challenges I am entering this card into, firstly I used a great sketch from Pixie Dust Studio, hope I have done it justice!!

My backing papers are from a CD rom Messy Rabbit from Joanna Sheen, great CD!! All the edges have been distressed.

The ribbons as usual are from our local market.

This is one of two digi images from a collection 'Summer Fun' found at Daisy Doodles, this one is called Hot Air Balloon. I coloured it in with Pro-Markers, then inked the background before distressing the edges.

This is the second of my digi images, called Sun and Clouds, I coloured it in with Pro-Markers, then inked the background before distressing the edges to match the main theme.

The metal hot air balloon charm is from a collection I bought a long time ago on holiday in Witchita.

The sentiment, apt I thought for a hot air balloon, was made on my computer...

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.

Love Susan

  13. Hi there

Your card is a delight, all the elements beautifully drawn together.

I think we purprise ourselves sometime when we go out of our comfort zone, but it's probably good for us.

Thank you for joining us at Stampalot Challegne this month and good luck.

  14. As everyone else has said, you've done a great job considering you were out of your comfort zone. So weird not to see a flower on your card but it looks absolutely beautiful Mam. I know how much you love experimenting with different card shapes and as usual you have been successful in creating this little masterpiece. I love the charm and remember being with you when you bought it! What a great card for anyone: male, female, birthday, holiday, new job...
