Each day of the week you will be getting inspiration from of our talented team. The DT are going to show you on their own blogs how they made their creations, and you will be able to follow the links to the image in the Store and for the next days DT member throughout the week.

Today is my day to show you what I have made.....

Now for my card....

I have used bits and pieces of backing papers from my stash, I chose these colours because they remind me of  Easter and chocolate!! My ribbon and pearls are from our local market. The flowers are from Hobby Craft, the leaves have been made using a punch. I have used a stamp from Crafty Individuals to stamp the bird and branch onto a piece of linen fabric.

This absolutely gorgeous digi image has been designed by the very talented Marina Neira, it is called 'Marvin's Easter Egg' and you can get him from The Stamping Bazaar Store. I have used promarkers to colour the image. The sentiment I made myself on the computer. The edges of the topper and sentiment have been glittered with stickles.

Today you will also be able to see some fabulous work from our new DT member Lou, please call across to Lou's Blog and leave her some love, her work is so inspirational.

Fussy and Fancy - Springtime Colours.....

Hi Susan here....

Over at Fussy and Fancy we are half way through our current challenge and it is the chance for Group B of the design team to give you some inspiration for joining our challenge where the theme is Spring Time, this can be in the papers you use or the image or both!
For full details and to see Group A and B's inspirational creations call HERE.

Now for my card....

As I wanted to make my card using delicate spring time colours I chose pastels in green, pink, blue and white. My backing papers are freebies from Digital Freebies. This is one generous site, the papers they give away are fabulous....I love this set the leaf backing paper is joined by plain coloured papers and a dotty one, and then they give you the leaves so that you can cut them out and use them with the papers....beautiful! My ribbon and pearls as usual are from our local market. My blue flowers are from Hobby Craft, the pink one I made myself! I used handmade paper I cut the shapes out using a punch, then I wet and shaped the paper. Hope you liked the effect....I loved it!!

My image is a Sarah Kay stamp....Love this little stamp I used chalks to colour the image, no promarkers in sight! I was really pleased with the effect. I mat and layered onto several pieces of backing paper...all together I used 7 layers on this card...it kind of helped because I entering it into a challenge that needed more than 5 layers.

The sentiment and die shape is from Tickled Pink Stamps.

Challenges entering -
CES Challenge - Spring colours and/or image
Stamptacular Sunday - Pile it on at least 5 layers
Karber Weekly Challenge - Something cute
Pear Tree Design - Colourful

Thank you so much for looking at my design and for all your wonderful comments

A Special Blog Hop for Japan...

Hello and welcome to a very special blog hop today!
You may have been on the first hop that Whimsy put on for this special cause.  Well, there were so many who volunteered to join in that we had to do a second one!  The illustrators of Whimsy Stamps have come together to draw a special set of digi images for the purpose of raising money for the relief effort in Japan.  All proceeds from the sale of these images will be donated to that cause.   Kenny K, Raindrop Echo Designs, Meljens Designs, and Crissy Armstrong all contributed art work.

For the whole month of April, you can purchase the images as a set or individually (your choice) by visiting this page on the Whimsy store site.  Please consider helping this special cause by purchasing one or all of the digital images we are offering.

If you have landed here from Lisa's blog, you are right on track.  If you have come here randomly and would like to start hopping from the beginning, please go to Ann's blog.   She has the blog rotation order posted if you need to refer to it.

The amazing ladies of two design teams have come together to host this blog hop for you!  The team from Sentimental Sundays and the Kenny K Krafty Girlz have joined forces to design some amazing jaw dropping creations for you.  You have seven days to hop through all the blogs and enjoy all the lovely creations from these talented people.

The hop runs from now through til Sunday April 17 at noon.  There will be several opportunities to win blog candy!  Four random commenters will get a chance to receive one of the three individual images or Ann's sentiment set.  So be sure to leave comments all along the way for your chance at a free digi!  Also, if you post the "Help for Japan" button on your blog's sidebar, you can enter into the draw for the grand prize!  The grand prize will consist of the entire digital set made just for this cause as well as a gift certificate donated by Ann of Raindrop Echo Designs worth $10 to use at the Whimsy Stamps store! To enter, you must help us advertise for this cause by posting the "Help for Japan" button on your blog's side bar (just grab it from my side bar or from the top of this post) and then get your name on the Inlinkz option on Ann's post so we can be sure to find the winner.

Now on to my project:
My backing paper and vellum is from a 12x12 scrapbook paper pack from Hot Off The Press called 'Flowered Handmade Paper', it is one of the most beautiful paper packs I have every used, the colours are so delicate, and all have beautiful vellums to match!! I have stitched all the edges, inked with distressing inks and then distressed. My small flowers are from Hobby Craft the larger pink and cream one I made using punches and inks. I hope you like the effect!

I chose to use on my card for this very special cause a word sentiment designed by Ann Vento. It is just one of many in a set that Ann has designed and you can find it HERE with all the other wonderful images that have been designed by the various groups that have been involved in this very special cause. The frame for the sentiment I made myself, then I inked and distressed the edges. The little butterflies have been made using a punch, inks to colour and then adding glitter and pearls. As usual the ribbons and pearls are from our local market.

Next you'll want to visit Nicole's Blog to continue hopping.  Thank you so much for stopping by, and for your support of this very worthy cause.
