Hi, Susan here...
Emma and I are very proud to announce that we have been chosen to be Guest Designers for Digi Doodle Shops Best for the month of August.
A new challenge started today at Digi Doodle Shops Best and the theme is 'Use Your Favourite Stamp', the challenge runs until Wednesday 11th August. Full details of the challenge can be found HERE! If you are in need of some inspiration for this challenge why not take a look at all the fabulous Design Team creations, they're absolutely great!
Come on now and have a try, what could be easier than using your favourite stamp!!
Now back to my card...
I used another sketch for this one, its a previous challenge from Inspirational Card Sketches. It was the shape of the sketch that gave me the idea for my easel card!
I have used backing papers from my stash, all have been distressed and glittered with stickles.
The ribbon and tuille have all come from our local market.
This is one of the gorgeous images available to buy from the Digi Doodles Store, it is called 'Carousel', I love it. I feel very lucky to have been able to use this beautiful digi image for my card. The edges of my topper were distressed and glittered then layered onto a scalloped matt with glittered ruffled tuille behind. I used Pro-Markers to colour in my image and gently inked the background.
My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I glittered all the edges with stickles.
On the base of the easel I placed my sentiment. I made this on my computer, the edge has been distressed and glittered and layerd onto a scalloped matt.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:-
Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.
Love Susan

Mam when you showed me this card last week I loved it and now I think I love it even more! It's my favourite of yours so far I think it's wonderfully inventive and so beautiful to look at. I have spent ages looking at all the details on the computer! I love the papers and how the tulle looks different over each of the papers, great effect. The image looks as though it was designed for this card, it's beautiful. I love how you always experiment with different card shapes and designs, it always pays off in your designs. I would have this card on permanent display in my house if I was the lucky recipient!
ReplyDeleteA real beauty of a card Mam, well done! xxx
