My little geisha girl...

Hi, it's Susan again!!!

I couldn't resist making this card!

I love working from sketches, and this one looked so good with all those layers, it made me think Asian straight away, and then I found a challenge or two to go with it.

My backing papers were all from our stash. I used a ridged card for the main backing as I wanted some texture next to the shiny black and the silver mirri.

The ribbon is from our local market. I used a punch to make the silver strip.

This darling little image is one of many that 'Sliekje' gives away free on her blogsite, this little image is called Japans - meisje. She has the most beautiful collection of digi stamps each one is adorable.

I coloured it in using chalks, then inked the background slightly to age it.

The flowers are my own handmade flowers using a five petal punch, the centre brads we have had in our stash for ages they are silk covered.

The satin ribbon is from our local market.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.

Love Susan

  17. Well I had the honour of seeing this little Geisha girl being coloured in, how amazing! I love your card Mam, so very asian in design. I love the set colour scheme and as usual I ADORE your handmade flowers. I still can't believe you make them yourself and they look just as good (and sometimes much better) than the ready-made ones you buy from craftshops.
