Halloween....

Hi Susan here...
Can you believe its Thursday again...and time for another challenge over at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog. The theme this time is 'Use any Halloween Sentiment' how easy is that!! Come and join in the fun with us on this challenge, for full details of the challenge call across to Aud Sentiments. This time around we are lucky enough to have The Cutting Cafe as our sponsor. They have such a variety of products over there all of which are so much fun to work with! We were lucky enough to use some of the images for our cards! They are giving the winner of this challenge 3 sets of their choice!

For my card, which is quite simple and 'clean' looking, I used a two tone grey backing card from The Paper Mill Shop and inked the edges with black then I used a spiders web design from Tiddlyinks and embossed it with black sparkle embossing powder. Here and there I attached some black and clear gems, to add extra sparkle!!

This is one of the few images I used from The Cutting Cafe, I have used crackle glaze over the body and allowed it to dray and do its 'thing'. I was really pleased with the effect!! The little moving eyes are from my stash.

The spider was also an image from the same set, I cut it out and added a black pompom for its body....eeeek, nobody likes it here, we all hate spiders!!! I have hung it on a piece of acetate so that it bobs about over the web, eeek!

This great sentiment was my final image to use I embellished it with gems and cut it out with a nestability. Then I slightly inked the edges with black ink.

I made a simple little gift bag full of chocolate sweets. The witches hat was made by copying an image twice and flipping one over then sticking them together with the edge of the treat bag inside.

Lady Tilda.....

Hi Susan here.....

I hope you are all having a great day....I am because I have had some spare time and I have been able to use one of my favourite stamps, Tilda, we only have a few of these precious little ladies but I love them. My backing papers are from stash bits and pieces and although the photo doesn't completely show the colour of the main background it is a deep burgundy pearlescent card from The Paper Mill, absolutely gorgeous card. All the edges have been distressed and glittered with stickles.

Here she is, 'Lady Tilda', isn't she beautiful?
I have used Pro-Markers to colour her in with and used a little stickles here and there on her dress.

My flower is from Prima, I glittered the edges of the petals, the center is a hair clip, the netting is from our local market, I gathered the middle and attached the flower, the edge of the netting has been glittered. The gems I arranged into the swirls, I used three colours, crystal, purple and pink.

My sentiment has been made on the computer.

Miracle of Love.....

Hi Susan here....

Monday not only starts the beginning of another week but it is the day for some fun over at Lexi's Creations. A new challenge has begun today and the theme is 'Picture Perfect', all that means is we want to see a 'photo' on your creations.....the full details of the challenge and some inspiration from the design team take a trip to Lexi's Creations. The fabulous 'Letraset' is our sponsor for this challenge and the winner will receive some great Promarkers from them.

For my card, my backing papers are from a Joanna Sheen CD called 'Fashion Boutique', I wanted to keep to a neutral cream and brown colour theme, I love this colour theme its vintage and gentle. I have mat and layered onto brown card throughout and all edges have been distressed. The pearls are from our local market.

As you can tell I have cheated a little here and used a 'photo' from a Joanna Sheen CD  called 'Fashion Boutique', but it was what I wanted for my colour theme, and the image is beautiful and how I imagine my 'Granny' or 'Great Granny' to have looked in her 'Sunday Best'. I did however print it out onto a mat photo paper!!!!! haha!

This is one of the beautiful sentiments from Lexi, it is called 'Miracle of Love', pop over to Fairy Dust Crafts to see all the designs available, especially now that the Brand New Craft Store is stocked and open for business.

My flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and I chose shades of cream to match my theme.

My ribbon is from our local market, the pin I added extra beads to the stem and the feather from my stash just finished it for me.
