Hi Susan here.....
Today we have another sketch challenge starting at The Stamping Bazaar. You can see the full details of the challenge on The Stamping Bazaar Blog. Here is a picture of the sketch that you are required to work from, and if you're needing inspiration then the TSB design team will help you out. Please come along and join in the fun with us.
Now for my card using this sketch.....
My backing papers are mostly from Bearlymine, I slightly altered the colour on my computer to a mixture of pinks instead of peach, the pale pink pearlescent card is from The Paper Mill Shop. All the edges have been distressed using Tim Holtz distressing ink. The pearls, ribbon and lace have come from our local market.
My oh so cute image has been designed by our very talented Marina Neira and it is called 'Josie in a hat' and is available from The Stamping Bazaar Store. I have used Pro-Markers to colour it and then gently inked the background and edges.
I drew the butterfly and made it using an offcut of script vellum, I added the pearls for the body and then added the antennae, using a scrap of covered wire.
My flowers were made using a sizzix die and two different shades of pink paper, one pearlescent and one mat, I slightly shaped the petals before layering them and joining together with a fabric brad that I had in my stash.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.
Love Susan
