Thank you.....

Hi Susan here....

It is the start of another great challenge at Sentimental Sundays today and the theme for this challenge is 'Thanks/Thanksgiving and of course a sentiment'. You will find full details of the challenge and a fabulous selection of inspiration from the design team on the Sentimental Sundays Challenge Blog. Call on over and join in the fun with us, there is always something or someone you are thankful for so why not join us and make something special and you never know you may win the challenge!!

Now for my card...

I have used a gorgeous sketch that was from a previous challenge at Quirky Crafts. My backing papers are from a 12x12 scrapbooking pad  by HOTP called Sarapapers. I love these papers the colours and delicate patterns are just the type I like the best. I have mat and layered onto a plain pink card and distressed all the edges. The pearl and silver brads are from my stash, I have had them for ages!!
The ribbon and pearls are from our local market.

This is one of my favourite images from Whoopsi Daisy its found on set 93. I have used Promarkers to colour and then shaded with chalks. I have distressed the edge of the circle topper and matted it onto a pink scalloped card.

My sentiment is a combination of two images from Raindrop Echo Designs, they have been designed by our very own Ann Vento, It is well worth a visit to Raindrop Echo Designs, if you like using sentiments on your creations then look no further, there is something there for everyone and every occasion.
First the beautiful frame I used was originally black and I altered it to a deep pink on my computer, then I overlayed with the word sentiment, then I printed it. I coloured the border of the frame in the same shades as the dress on my image and then cut it out.

I have used a mixture of flowers here, the smaller roses and the buds are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the larger pink rose I made using a five petal flower punch and the same pink card as I have used throughout my card. I have slightly inked the edges of the petals with a deeper pink ink.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Thank you so much for looking at my card and for all the wonderful comments you leave me, I hope you liked it.
Love Susan
