Hi Susan here....
Today at Cute Card Thursday we are starting a new challenge and the theme is a sketch that has been designed by me!! Hope you like it!!
The sponsor for this challenge is Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, and they are offering the winner 2 rubber stamps of their choice!! WOW, what a great prize.
For full details of the challenge and to see some fantastic inspiration from the design team call across to the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog and join in the fun with us.
Now for my card...
I wanted to make my card using pastels with a touch of strong colours, so I chose my backing papers from an old 12x12 scrapbooking pad from HOTP called Sarapapers. It is full of the most gorgeous papers. I mat and layered onto a plain white cardstock. I have distressed all the edges and glittered them with stickles. The dark red strip of pearlescent cardstock is from The Paper Mill Shop and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the edges, then I glittered them with stickles.
The lace, pearls and gems are all from our local market.
This gorgeous fairy who I love very much is a Penny Black wooden backed stamp that we have had in our stash for ages. I have used Promarkers to colour it and then distressed and glittered the edges of the topper before matting and layering onto some green and white card.
The large poinsettia and berries are from Hobby Craft, I didn't much care for the centre of the poinsettia so pulled it apart and added a pearl and metal brad. The white flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
My sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs and is designed by Ann Vento. She has the most beautiful sentiments and designed so gorgeous, they are well worth a visit!!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:-
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my card and for leaving all your fabulous comments. I hope you liked it.

ReplyDeleteReally sweet card! Thanks for joining in at Ellephantastic this week and hope to see you next time. Jill
ReplyDeleteMam this is beautiful. I love your sketch layout, very nice. I am appreciating pastel colours at Christmastime a lot more since you two have started making these lovely creations. I ama believer of only green, red and metallics at Christmas but I really do love all these softer colours you are both adding, vey striking.
ReplyDeleteI love Penny Blacks images and I think your flowers and sentiment are very sweet.
A thoroughly modern Christmas card, great job Mam xxx
Love the image and the colours used.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in with us over on Magical Monday
